Well, I'm going in 2015 for sure. Last year I couldn't go because I got married, and this year I have classes full time during the summer. I can't afford to miss. So i didn't plan for it. Next year I'll be making MUCH larger salary, so I'll be able to go.

Yup, going to EVO does sound pretty awsome, but the trip from Spain is quite expensive and long, don't think I'll be able to do it, at least during the next 2-3 years

You can totally go to Evo on your own, but there's no such thing, really. There's always like a dozen people you know there, even if you don't know they're there. (More, obviously, if you were ever part of a local FGC scene geographically close to Vegas.)

But if you ask around a bit ahead of time, i'm sure you'll find people you know from the SRK's and cv/f's who would be more than down to meet up and grab food or show you around.

Anyone at Evo this year? My flight leaves Monday afternoon, if anyone wants to meet up today or tomorrow morning. We can grab food or just talk for a bit. Anyway, drop a note here or email me or via twitter or whatever works. Doubt i'll be checking PM's very often, so email probably works best (maj@sh).

You could hide it behind a captcha. An alternative is to use disposable email addresses.

We talked going this year (and the last few years tbh), but ultimately went to Europe for a week instead. I'm going to be hosting a Sunday viewing party at our apartment though, so it's practically like being there.

Anything cool coming from Riot Games?

Haha not this year - not much to say on that front. Well if anyone's going, let me know (preferably via email if it's last-minute).

Every year I have high hopes, but each year, the hopes are lost before summer even hits. I'll make it some day. Maybe when my son is old enough. I'll take him.

Well if you ever make it out, i'd be happy to see you. Seems like every year there are more and more new faces at Evo, but part of the old crowd quietly retires.

Then you randomly see them again 5 years later (after they've sorted out whatever they stepped away to focus on) and it's always a trip.

Anyone gonna be at NCR this month by any chance? Apparently i'm like 20 mins away from the venue, so if anyone needs a place to crash, i've got an open couch. I mean it's the second least comfortable couch from ikea which means it's pretty damn uncomfortable but hey at least it's not the cheapest couch from ikea.
